Habitat for Humanity Video
Cali Bamboo recently donated over 1,000 square feet of Fossilized® bamboo flooring to Habitat for Humanity for a key “green” initiative in Imperial Beach, CA!
Mike Shear: My name is Mike, I’m on the staff of Habitat for Humanity. I’m the superintendent on this project: Six homes in Imperial Beach. I’ve installed Cali Bamboo in my house, and had a great experience installing it. I heard of the possibility of a donation from Cali Bamboo, for two floors here on two of the six units. I was pretty excited, because I had a good time installing it, I know it’s high quality, and I know that using 15 different volunteers every day of differing abilities would be possible with Cali Bamboo. The reason we are installing it is because there’s a carpet allergy; we weren’t sure what we were going to do until Cali came along, and we’ve got two floors installed with Vintage bamboo.
The Torres family: It’s been about a year, and it’s been hard work, but today we are celebrating our new home, thanks to Habitat for Humanity. We really like our bamboo flooring upstairs–the color grey goes really good with our home and our style. We have a four-year-old son, Edgar, he’s going to have a lot of fun on our Cali Bamboo floor! You can actually maybe hear him upstairs. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for the great opportunity, and thank you Cali Bamboo for the new flooring. Gracias!
