However, we know that some families are not as fortunate. In fact, 46.5 million people are living in poverty in the United States, struggling to find affordable, adequate housing for their families. This is why we are partnering with Habitat For Humanity to launch a philanthropic collaboration called the 2014 Green Floor Hand Up!

Habitat For Humanity’s mission is to offer hand ups, not hand outs, to hardworking, low-income families, making home renovations and remodeling a reality. With the 2014 Green Floor Hand Up, we promise this: for every square foot of Cali Bamboo’s new Rustic line of Fossilized® bamboo flooring sold in 2014, we will donate a square foot of sustainable bamboo flooring to the Habitat For Humanity ReStore, benefiting families in the greater Los Angeles area.
